"Salon Anatolia", in its essence is an exercise in Ottoman lore and how its legacy of toxic masculinity and patriarchal society, shapes current conservative and far right politics in Turkey. A cultural history of Turkish society and its social consciousness, their standing and integration within the “modern world” and “modern conscious”.
Vivid characters with historical and folk background were recreated in traditional and marginal way. Charged with acute satire on social reality that the millennial generation of Anatolian face in the lingering shade of the Ottoman past, adding whole dimensions to the work that otherwise is a reflectional and very personal statement by Stefan Ragimov.
